Federal courts sitting in a diversity case must determine which state’s law applies with respect to the availability and amount of prejudgment interest. A federal court sitting in Missouri is to utilize Missouri conflict of law principles in determining which state’s substantive law applies, Klaxon Co. v. Stentor Elec. Mfg. Co., 313 U.S. 487 (1941), and in determining if the issue in question is substantive or procedural, Schwan’s Sales Enters., Inc. v. SIG Pack, Inc., 476 F.3d 594, 596–97 (8^th Cir. 2007).
