I. (§8.33) Stop Work Notices

AIA Document A201-1997, General Conditions of the Contract for Construction (15th ed.), provides that, if a contractor has not been paid during the seven days following the required payment date, the contractor may, after giving seven more days’ written notice to the owner and architect, stop work until payment is received.
