V. (§8.23) Replevin in Federal Courts

Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 64, any action involving seizure of a person or property, including an action in replevin, will be treated by the federal district court in the manner provided by the laws of the state of that district court. There are three exceptions:

1. If there is a United States statute affecting any part of the action, that statute will govern. Id.
