IX. (§8.20) Merchandising Practices Act
The MPA (Merchandising Practices Act), Chapter 407, RSMo, makes it unlawful to act with, use, or employ "any deception, fraud, false pretense, false promise, misrepresentation, [or] unfair practice" or to conceal, suppress, or omit "any material fact in connection with the sale or advertisement of any merchandise in trade or commerce or the solicitation of any funds for any charitable purpose" in the State of Missouri.
