C. (§8.14) Types of Delay

The term “delay” implies additional time needed to complete the construction project. While reasons for delay on a construction project are many and varied, the types of delay can be broken down into three general categories as follows:

1. Excusable and compensable delay

2. Excusable but noncompensable delay

3. Unexcused delay
