The RCRA gives the EPA the overall national authority for regulating the current generation, transportation, treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous and solid wastes.Juxtapose this purpose with that of CERCLA, which, for the most part, deals with abandoned sites. The RCRA essentially authorizes the EPA to provide “cradle to grave” control over hazardous waste management.
