Personal jurisdiction issues frequently arise out of the use of the internet. Because the internet is available throughout the world, jurisdiction based on an internet presence can potentially result in personal jurisdiction being proper everywhere because it could be said that a company on the internet has “purposefully directed” its activities to the entire world.
