5. (§7.24) Alibi Defense

Under Rule 25.05(A)(5), disclosure of the defendant’s intent to rely on a defense of alibi must be made in writing. The statement must contain specific information regarding where the defendant was at the time of the alleged offense, as well as names and addresses of alibi witnesses.
