B. (§7.2) Importance of Separation Agreements

Most dissolutions are concluded by agreement. More should be—not because the work of the courts thereby becomes easier but because the people whose marriage has ended do so with control of their own destiny. Rarely will a court discern the subtleties of two peoples’ lives to leave them in conditions as well as they might bring themselves with help from counsel.
