D. (§7.18) Amendment of Claims

As long as the amendment does not state a new and different cause of action, a claim may be amended without prejudice to the claimant even though the nonclaim statute has run. Sandwich Mfg. Co. v. Bogie, 298 S.W. 56 (Mo. 1927). A claim that does not state a cause of action may not be amended after the statute has run. Bench v.
