An action for expenses is a separate case from the underlying case and requires a separate petition. Section 536.087.3, RSMo 2000. The AHC gives it a separate case number and a separate hearing. Procedure in a case for expenses is governed by the regulations in the case for which fees are sought. 1 CSR 15‑3.560.
