a. (§6.9) City of St. Louis

By way of illustration, in 1999 the City of St. Louis passed local Ordinance 64771 amending § 101.1 of § 25.01.030 of the St. Louis City Revised Code to adopt the 1999 BOCA National Building Code as “the Building Code of the City of St. Louis.” The ordinance does not set out the full text of the BOCA model code, but merely incorporates the model code by reference, with certain amendments, additions, insertions, deletions, and changes expressly described in the ordinance. Copies of the adopted BOCA model code are made available for public inspection at the City’s Department of Public Safety/Building Division, the local agency responsible for administering and enforcing the City’s construction codes.
