C. (§6.6) Preserving or Waiving Objections

A party is generally required to object to evidence whenever it is offered by the opponent. But repeated objections are not required to a certain type of evidence when the trial court has clearly established its ruling by overruling a prior objection to that type of evidence. Williams v. Bailey, 759 S.W.2d 394, 397 (Mo. App. S.D. 1988); State ex rel. State Highway Comm’n v. Offutt, 488 S.W.2d 656, 661 (Mo. 1972). Likewise, repeated or renewed objections are not required when the trial court has granted the party a continuing objection to the evidence. State v. Laws, 121 S.W.3d 571, 572 n.1 (Mo. App. S.D. 2003); Warren v. State, 2 S.W.3d 128, 130 (Mo. App. E.D. 1999).
