§ 6.3.1 Introduction to Applicable Rules

The number of former clients accumulates over time and sooner or later a lawyer can expect to be confronted with the prospect of representing a client whose interests may be adverse to a former client. Knowledge of the relevant statutory provisions and an analysis of the particular facts are required to evaluate whether a representation potentially adverse to a former client can and should be undertaken.
