Section 379.203.1, RSMo 2000, mandates that UM coverage be for liability “arising out of the ownership, maintenance, or use of any motor vehicle.” Insurance policies similarly provide that the owner’s or operator’s liability for these damages must result from “the ownership, maintenance or use of the ‘uninsured motor vehicle.’” Copyright, ISO Properties, Inc., 1998.
