Generally, a dealer’s concealment of damages to a vehicle will not be as obvious as rolling back the odometer or arranging for the insurance company to keep its name off of a title. Instead, the dealer will fail to disclose or even misrepresent a car’s problem history. Proving that a dealer knew or should have known of a rollback or prior damage to a vehicle is very critical in many automobile fraud cases. As stated in §4 above, car dealers have a responsibility to inspect vehicles, and a vehicle must pass an inspection before sale. There are many ways to go about getting this type of proof.
