Section 56 Opening Conference

Before OSHA begins its actual inspection, the OSHA compliance officer will conduct an opening conference with the employer. See 29 C.F.R. § 1903.7(a). The compliance officer should provide proof of their credentials and will discuss with the employer the basis for the inspection. During the opening conference, the employer should obtain as much information as possible about the inspection, including:
