Section 50 Administrators Not Eligible for Tenure

The employment of administrators (certified employees other than superintendents who are not eligible for obtaining tenured status) is governed by § 168.101, RSMo 2000. Fuller v. North Kansas City Sch. Dist., 629 S.W.2d 404 (Mo. App. W.D. 1981); Williams v. Bd. of Educ., Cass R-VIII Sch. Dist., 573 S.W.2d 81 (Mo. App. W.D. 1978). Section 168.101.1 authorizes nonmetropolitan school districts to enter into employment contracts with certified administrators. The contract must specify the number of months the employee is to work and the compensation to be paid and must be signed by the employee and the president of the board.
