D. (§5.8) Mediation Under Chapter 487, RSMo

In 1993, the Missouri legislature created family courts in the state’s six largest judicial circuits. The legislation also permits other circuits to create a family court under the same law.

Section 487.100, RSMo Supp. 2011, states:
