C. (§5.6) Take Possession of Personal Property
The personal representative of a supervised estate has a duty to take physical possession of all personal property owned by the decedent as soon as appointed by the court. Section 473.263, RSMo 2000. Possession might even be obtained in anticipation of appointment in the case of assets requiring safekeeping, such as cash, bearer securities, jewelry, and similar items.
