6. (§5.39) Personal Injuries
Claims and causes of action for injuries to the person are not assignable. State ex rel. Park Nat. Bank v. Globe Indem. Co., 61 S.W.2d 733 (Mo. 1933). An action for wrongful death before judgment is not assignable, Reese v. Preferred Risk Mut. Ins. Co., 457 S.W.2d 205 (Mo. App. E.D. 1970), nor is an action for slander or libel, Renfro v.
