D. (§5.26) Benefits of Collaborative Law

From a client standpoint, collaborative law offers greater involvement in and control over the process than conventional litigation as well as reduced financial and emotional costs. When children are involved, collaborative law provides a markedly increased opportunity to nurture, rather than destroy, the relationship between the parents and a better chance to develop a mutually satisfactory parenting plan.
