The insuring agreement in any policy is the basic agreement as to what is covered. While it is subject to the exclusions and conditions contained in the policy, it should always be the first portion of the policy considered because if no coverage is granted by the insuring agreement for the fact pattern under consideration, neither the exclusions nor the conditions can create coverage under Missouri law.
