C. (§5.13) Statutory Authority

The probate division is empowered by § 473.300, RSMo 2000, to issue an order authorizing the supervised personal representative to continue a business of the decedent upon “a showing of advantage to the estate.” For example, it would be of financial advantage to the estate for the business’s good will to be preserved, and the only way to do so might be to keep the operation of the business running until a sale of the business can be negotiated
