7. (§44) Problems With Blanket Liens

Difficult problems often arise with respect to a lien filed on multiple lots, sometimes referred to as a “blanket lien.” If several equitable proceedings have been commenced on a number of the lots that are covered by the blanket lien, it is believed that the only safe course for the claimant is to enforce the claimant’s blanket lien in the equitable action that was first commenced against any lot covered by the claimant’s blanket lien.
