8. (§4.30) Laches

In Missouri, the statute of limitations applies to equitable as
well as to legal remedies. Loomis v. Mo. Pac. Ry. Co., 65 S.W. 962 (Mo. banc 1901). But in equity, an action will be barred before
the statute has run if the plaintiff has been guilty of laches. In Lake Development Enterprises, Inc. v. Kojetinsky, 410 S.W.2d 361, 367–68 (Mo. App. E.D. 1966), the court described laches as:
