G. (§4.20) Interpleader

“Persons having claims against the plaintiff may be joined as defendants and required to interplead when their claims” may expose the plaintiff to multiple liability. The defendant may also interplead in some circumstances by way of counterclaim or cross-claim. It is not grounds for objection to the joinder that several claimants may have adverse claims or titles. Rule 52.07. The provisions of the rule supplement and do not limit the joinder rules set forth in Rule 52.05.
