Shares of stock and securities are levied on by actual seizure of the instrument unless the security is in the hands of the issuer. Rule 76.06(f); UCC § 8-112 (2001). The procedure outlined in § 513.120, RSMo 2000, has been superseded by the Uniform Commercial Code.
