1. (§38) In General

Sections 429.270–429.340, RSMo 2000, cover equitable actions to enforce mechanic’s liens. The purpose of these provisions is to protect owners and others interested in the property from a multiplicity of suits and not to restrict the rights of lien claimants. Lee & Boutell Co. v. C.A. Brockett Cement Co., 106 S.W.2d 451 (Mo. 1937).
