In Craft v. Metromedia, Inc., 766 F.2d 1205, 1217–21 (8^th Cir. 1985), cert. denied, 475 U.S. 1058 (1986), the plaintiff, a terminated television anchorperson, did not establish a submissible case of fraud because the employer’s representation that it intended “no makeover or substantial changes” in the plaintiff’s appearance was not proven to have been false when made.

In Walsh v. Ingersoll-Rand Co., 656 F.2d 367 (8^th Cir. 1981), the fraud was in concealing negotiations to sell the product line the plaintiffs were to be hired to work on. See also DuSesoi v. United Refining Co., 540 F. Supp. 1260, 1272–74 (W.D. Pa. 1982)...
