Article 9, as amended effective July 1, 2001, reaches all aspects of security interests in personal property. Section 400.9-109, RSMo Supp. 2004. There are special rules in Article 9 for the perfection and priority of security interests in property covered by certificates of title. Sections 400.9-303 and 400.9-311(a), RSMo Supp. 2004. Except for perfection, and the duration and renewal of the security interest, all aspects of a security interest in such property are governed by Article 9. Section 400.9-311(c).
