In addition to the Missouri Court of Appeals in White v. White, 293 S.W.3d 1 (Mo. App. W.D. 2009), courts in a number of jurisdictions have held that same-sex partners who are not natural parents have no standing or authority to obtain custody or visitation rights. See:
