A. (§30.24) Legal Status of Same-Sex Relationships

Same-sex marriage is expressly prohibited in Missouri. On August 3, 2004, Missouri voters amended the Missouri Constitution to provide as follows: “That to be valid and recognized in this state, a marriage shall exist only between a man and a woman.” Mo.
