Section 3 Structure of Missouri Division of Employment Security

The Division is a division of the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. Subject to the supervision of the Director of Labor and Industrial Relations, the Division is headed by a director, who is appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. Section 288.220.1, RSMo 2000. Division employees are part of the state merit system. Section 288.220.4.
