Generally, the Standards of Professional Conduct can be divided between standards of practice and ethical standards. With respect to the standards of practice, the accountant is required to undertake only those tasks that can be completed with professional competence, exercise due professional care, adequately plan and supervise its professional services, and obtain sufficient relevant data to reach its conclusions or recommendations.
