Normal rules of discovery apply after the filing of exceptions; this includes Rule 56.01 (Interrogatories). As in other civil cases, the parties typically use interrogatories and requests to produce as the starting points in pretrial discovery. Because the parties present evidence on the sole issue of valuation through expert testimony, interrogatories can be as short as one question: Name your expert.
