When proceedings are timely abandoned in good faith, the landowner may be entitled to recover interest on the award. Missouri courts are vested with discretion to order condemnors to pay interest on the award at the rate of six percent from the date of the filing of the commissioners’ report to the date of the filing of the election to abandon.
