Under § 211.351, RSMo 2000, the juvenile officer is to be appointed by the juvenile court. “Juvenile court” is defined in § 211.021(3), RSMo Supp. 2010, as “the juvenile division or divisions of the circuit court of the county, or judges while hearing juvenile cases assigned to them.” See § 478.063, RSMo 2000. The law prescribes no fixed term of office for the juvenile officer.
