§ 3.7.16 Standard of Care Does Not Mean Perfection
Courts recognize that mistakes happen in the process of design and construction, and that no set of plans will be perfect. A design professional’s work can be inaccurate or imperfect and still meet the professional standard of care.156This flexible standard of care allows that some level of error or uncertainty is acceptable without constituting actionable negligence.
