B. (§3.3) Representatives Defined

The term “personal representative” replaced “executor or administrator” in those sections of the Missouri Probate Code, Chapters 472–475, RSMo, added or amended by the 1980 Probate Code revision. Unamended sections continue the term “executor”—a representative named in the will and appointed by the court to whom letters testamentary are issued—and the term “administrator”—a person appointed to administer an intestate estate to whom letters of administration are issued.
