C. (§3.23) Waiver of Venue

Venue is a personal privilege and will be waived in the same manner as jurisdiction over the person is waived. It may be expressly waived or waived by any act constituting a general appearance. Lieffring v. Birt, 154 S.W.2d 597 (Mo. App. W.D. 1941). Improper venue and lack of jurisdiction over the person and insufficiency of process or service of process are matters that may be raised by motions (Rule 55.27(a)) and are waived unless raised by motion within the time allowed for the initial responsive pleading.
