In Union Electric Co. v. Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, 258 S.W.3d 48 (Mo. banc 2008), a laborer was injured when he was working near a crane that came into contact with an overhead power line. He sued, inter alia, the power company and the sewer district supervising the work. The laborer settled with both of those defendants.
