6. (§3.10) Family and Friends

Family and friends are a source of important moral support to any defendant and should be encouraged to lend that support. They may also be a valuable source of financial support and, if so, counsel should be sure to record who the money comes from and the financial obligations of those family members as discussed in §3.3 above.
