Section 29 Personnel and Employment Matters

Normally records and meetings that relate to a specific individual’s employment are closed. Section 610.021(13), RSMo Supp. 1999, authorizes closure of meetings, records, and votes to the extent they relate to individually identifiable personnel records, performance ratings, or records pertaining to employees or applicants for employment. But this exemption does not apply to the names, positions, salaries, and lengths of service of officers and employees of public agencies once they are employed.
