VII. (§29.13) Oral Argument

Oral argument provides attorneys an opportunity to highlight and enhance the points raised in the brief before the court of appeals. The benefits of oral argument include the following:

· Many individuals, even judges, learn more easily and quickly from an oral presentation than a written one. Oral arguments, therefore, give some judges a better understanding of a case, particularly when the point is unusually sophisticated or complicated.
