In general, a minor's contract is voidable at the minor's option. Merrick v. Stephens, 337 S.W.2d 713, 717 (Mo. App. S.D. 1960). The exceptions are contracts by the minor for medical care for the minor, the minor's spouse, or the minor's children, § 431.065, RSMo 2000, or contracts to borrow money for higher education, § 431.067, RSMo 2000.
