Section 27 Bailment Found Not to Exist

In each of the following situations, no bailment was found to exist:

• Bank deposits, Commerce Trust Co. v. Farmers’ Exch. Bank of Gallatin, 61 S.W.2d 928 (Mo. banc 1933), but see In re Wellston Trust Co., 130 S.W.2d 232 (Mo. App. E.D. 1939) (“special” deposit held to be a bailment)

• As to the contents of the trunk only, the towing of an automobile with medical equipment in the trunk to a garage for repairs, when the defendant was not informed of the contents of the trunk, W. County Internal Med., Inc. v. Domian Standard Serv., Inc., 725 S.W.2d 116 (Mo. App. E.D. 1987)
