2. (§27.23) Continuing Jurisdiction Over Custody Determinations

By enacting the MoUCCJEA, the Missouri legislature has aligned Missouri law with 28 U.S.C. § 1738A(d) of the PKPA by providing that Missouri courts maintain exclusive continuing jurisdiction over their own initial and modified child custody determinations. This jurisdiction continues until:
