B. (§27.20) Missouri Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act

The MoUCCJEA governs both jurisdiction over and enforcement of child custody determinations in Missouri. In addition to addressing jurisdictional issues between Missouri and other states, the MoUCCJEA requires Missouri courts to treat a foreign country as if it were a state, § 452.705(17), RSMo Supp. 2011, when addressing jurisdictional issues under the MoUCCJEA.
