It is not unusual for parents of juveniles charged with delinquent acts to make statements to the juvenile officer that tend to incriminate their child. In these instances, the juvenile officer might call the parent as a witness for the adjudication of the case, or the juvenile officer might testify as to the content of the parent’s statement.
